Offord and Camp was established in 1965 as a family business, and is currently run by the third generation of the Offord family Tim Offord.
Tim Offord (Director) is also a chartered engineer, with a civil/structural engineering and project management background. He joined Offord and Camp on a full-time basis in 2010 from his previous employment with a respected Cambridge based engineering and project management consultancy.
Xris Morss (Directors' Assistant) joined the family firm in August 2013. She is the vital first point of contact for Offord and Camp's new and existing clients, suppliers and staff, and also manages the office and accounts.
Our staff includes groundworkers, bricklayers, carpenters and decorators. All of our tradesmen are City & Guilds or NVQ qualified and all have passed the CSCS health and safety test. Many of our staff have completed apprenticeships whilst working for Offord & Camp and then have stayed with us, some for more than thirty years.
All our apprentices attend CITB accredited day-release courses at Cambridge Regional College (CRC) and three have gained recognition of their abilities: In 2017, one of our carpentry apprentices was entered for a national competition. In 2016, one of our apprentice decorators won a regional decorating competition and a Painting and Decorating Star Award - the highest award presented by the College.
We have a select group of sub-contractors that we have worked with consistently over many years, all of whom respect and maintain the standards that we expect from our own workforce. However, we are always pleased to work with new sub-contractors who come with recommendations from clients or architects.

Tim or Simon undertake daily site inspections of all projects in progress. This ensures that our high standard of work is maintained, and that any queries can be addressed and dealt with without delay.
Each site has a foreman, normally an experienced carpenter, who deals with the day-to-day operation of the site and remains on the site for the project duration.
